Shape Inlay is an entertaining game which requires fast eyes, good pattern recognition, and high mental agility. Even if you don't have all the requirements you can still take a shot at it to gradually improve the mentioned skills.
The game consists of an empty board and a moving rail on which several irregularly shaped figures will appear one by one. These pieces need to be placed on their corresponding places on the board. But the actual position is not easy to determine, in fact, one piece may have more than one correct position to be placed in, and here is when your pattern recognition skills will come in handy. Try to choose a location for the piece in such a way that it will not obstruct future pieces.
Once your board is a bit more full, you'll notice you need pieces that aren't coming on the rail, so don't wait for them! Because they will never come, that is because all you need to do is take one piece that looks like the one you need, and then press the space bar to rotate the piece to match the one you require.
Use your mouse to take and drop the pieces where you want them. If you take a piece and you realize afterwards that you can't use it, then just drop it on the hole on the left, but doing this will take 90 points from your score. |
